Course for Teachers

Foro Nuclear is organizing a new edition of the course for teachers in the province that is part of the 46th Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society. This training, aimed at teachers for Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training, will provide information on the different uses of ionizing radiation in different aspects of our daily lives from experts in the field of nuclear technology.

The Nuclear Forum, in collaboration with Ávila’s Centro de Formación del Profesorado e Innovación Educativa, has organized the course “Nuclear Technology and its Day to Day Applications” as part of the 44th Annual SNE Event.

This course, geared to high school and technical-vocational training teachers from Ávila province, will provide information about the different uses of radiation ionization in daily life, given by experts in the nuclear technology field.

It’s structured in two parts, one part in person, and another online. The in-person event involves the following:

  • Practical workshop on “New Methods to Communicate Science”. Monday, September 24th from 4pm to 8pm at the Palacio de Congresos Lienzo Norte.
  • Conference on Women in Nuclear "Women and Science”. Tuesday, September 25 from 6pm to 8pm at the el Palacio de Superunda.

The online part will happen through the Virtual Classroom at the Nuclear Forum on its webpage: www.rinconeducativo.org. It will take place over 6 weeks. If you were part of Ávila’s educational community and you’d like more information or to register for the course click here.
